点评：Great art collection. We were fascinated by it.
The Doria Pamphilj Gallery, housed in the palace of the same name overlooking Via del Corso, is a private museum in Rome, belonging to the Doria Pamphilj Landi family. The original core of the Palace dates back to the 16th century.
From an architectural point of view, it has undergone various interventions and expansions, but also a series of changes of ownership among different aristocratic families of ancient Rome, such as the Della Rovere, the Aldobrandini and finally the Pamphilj.
The exhibition heart of the Doria Pamphilj Palace is in the four arms of the Gallery, overlooking the internal Renaissance courtyard, and in the two large adjacent rooms, the Aldobrandini Room and the Primitive Room. Most of the masterpieces of the collection are concentrated here.
With its stunning Old Master collection - the Velásquez portrait and Bernini bust of Pope Innocent X are themselves worth the price of admission - and glorious, lavishly-decorated corridors and salons - in particular, the Hall of Mirrors - may well be the best-kept secret in Rome, a sumptuous place to while away a couple of hours contemplating beautiful things totally uninterrupted.
