点评:I contacted Mr John through WhatsApp a few days before and we arranged to meet outside the hotel (You pay Mr John later when he drops you off). Check out his website for more info. We were in his small mini bus with 17 others so it does get busy.
We were a family of five with two adults, one 81yr old senior and two children (9 & 11). Mr John takes you to the UN no man's zone to view the land and the buildings. You have to concentrate on what Mr John is saying as at times he is hard to understand but he is clearly passionate about the land that was taken from his family, anyone would be.
You will need your passports when you cross to the Turkish side and this provides an opportunity for a toilet stop and then you will meet Mr Ahmed.
Mr Ahmed is clear and easy to listen to and the jokes between Mr Ahmed and Mr John are comical.
They take you to view some of the fenced of streets and tell you about some tales of when they were young and then you go to the ghost city.
It's an eye opener to see the city but it seems like the Turkish Government is starting to tidy up the city and you have to ask yourself, For what purpose? So I would see this as soon as you can as it may change.
Lunch and a walk around the old city afterwards was a nice touch. Overall the walking wasn't too much for our family and I would recommend this tour to anyone.
Allow 5 hours plus for this tour.
