点评:We had not heard of this museum and stumbled upon it when wandering around the centre of Limassol last week. The museum itself is in a building that is just behind Limassol Castle in the centre. It looked intriguing so we decided to go in and have a look.
The museum is named after Takis Pattichis (1927 – 2016), the founder of the Cyprus Pharmaceutical Industry. There are various exhibits on show here to do with pharmaceutical manufacturing like weighing instruments, laboratory equipment, production equipment etc.
Entrance to this museum is free and we were warmly welcomed in by the lady that works there who was on hand to answer any questions that we had.
It was fascinating to see the machinery that produced the various pharmaceutical items and to read what the items were for. Also, you can see some of the photos of the people that used the machinery for the production of medicines in Cyprus.
Even if like me you do not know too much about pharmaceuticals it is interesting to see and learn about the processes. I would recommend that you visit if you are in the area.
