Disappointed and overpriced
H Spa at Horwood House Hotel的点评
点评：What was anticipated to be a luxurious stay turned out to be extremely disappointing. Upon arrival at Horwood house we were allocated our room, which appeared to be situated in the basement, and a considerable distance from the main reception.
The hallways were filled with bedding and towels which were left outside rooms doors, along with dirty plates and cutlery. This was a sight for sore eyes, considering that the hotel prides itself to be on well kept grounds which provides comfort for guest. Although leaving the sign on the door for house keeping to attend, and specifically asking at reception; our room was not cleaned nor were we provided with clean towels.
In addition to this, my partner and I could not sleep peacefully due to the noise from other guest and constant flushing of toilets.
Just when we thought our stay could not get any worse the TV channels were limited. The website states that this is a modern environment, this was far from the case.
Nevertheless, the gym facilities were the only positive of this stay.
Our stay came to an end when having to request a refund for Breakfast which we did not receive! We were told that breakfast would be finishing at 11am, we arrived at the restaurant shortly after 10am and was then told that breakfast had ended. Although kitchen staff were apologetic, this was very disappointing. Upon checking out, we were offered a cup of coffee to compensate the hotels shortcomings.. this was far from acceptable.
