Some beautiful boats, interesting Marina to walk along the Promenade
Promenade Marina Puerto Calero的点评
点评：Thursday 11th July and we visited this Marina which is located on the south west coast of Lanzarote.
We parked up in the area outside and then walked down into the Marina. It is a large established and well maintained Marina with 450 berths and can accommodate superyachts.
As we entered the Marina, we walked past the metal structure, that is a fountain, in the centre of the roundabout. It was not working at the time of our visit or when we were here previously in March 2022.
Along the landside of the Promenade there are a number of restaurants offering a wide range of different cuisines.
There were a number of boats, of all shapes and sizes, moored up. Luxury yachts were side by side with smaller vessels, along side those boats offering fishing trips and boat tours. Lineas Romero Ferry provided a water taxi service to and from Puerto del Carmen.
There was even a submarine tour, the yellow submarine was moored up in the Marina when we were here.
One of the most eye-catching features in the Marina were the beautiful tall ships, with their rigging and sails that were along the promenade wall.
As we walked along the tree lined Promenade, there was a guy washing down the gold painted mooring posts.
On the other side of the Marina, opposite the promenade is the harbour wall which is home to Faro de Puerto Calero. This is an octagonal three storey lighthouse.
To the rear of the Marina is a small shopping precinct, called Isla Lobos, sadly at the time of our visit most of the shops had closed down.
