Quake - Lisbon Earthquake Museum的点评
点评：As a Deaf person, I asked if I can follow. All I saw were phones. So I just looked around while my husband who can hear interpreted the guide. He is not a professionally trained interpreter. He listened to phones while I wandered about. He tried his best as he was unfamiliar with the information. I was not informed that I can click on the QR code on each area to read the script in the beginning until we reached the quake room, I got upset as I noticed more phones. Finally the guide in that room told us to click on the QR code to read the script. Ah! I missed the information in the earlier rooms.
Also reading text script takes more time than listening to information but the guide ushered us out of the room to the next not giving me sufficient time to read the information. Honestly, I think the museum awesome and the information very interesting but the staff need to be trained to communicate clearly with the Deaf customers and to provide additional time. I would definitely recommend visiting Quake! I would probably suggest Deaf people go as a group with an interpreter and provide a bit more time too!
