Tourist compound offering lots of food, dining and souvenirs next to the castle

点评：Situated right next to the castle I figured I'd have a look round. This is basically a small compound with various street vendors selling and serving different local foods and treats together with some small souvenir shops as well. There is a good variety on offer and I spent about an hour here. This included watching the short 15 minute family friendly samurai show (they run this twice a day during the winter season). It was enjoyable, the kids seemed to love it and the audience was encouraged to clap along. Kids could also pose with the performers for photos afterwards which was nice.
The prices weren't cheap but then I wouldn't say they were expensive either. This place is really meant for tourists who are on a tight schedule and would like souvenirs or want to sample the different culinary foods of Kyushu at a centralised location.
