点评：Bottom line just book with Access2Tanzania. Long story is that I spent weeks doing research both online and speaking to people who have been on Safari before. I contacted several different companies. I wanted to support a company with financial ties to Tanzania to help support locally but felt more comfortable sending money to a company that also had offices here in the US since no Safari’s that are good are inexpensive and A2T was that option. Let me add that A2T was very well priced in comparison to other companies I spoke to. I also liked that they had people here in the US to speak to and plan the trip. I worked with Casey and told him what our family (4 adults) wanted to see and that we liked to also be active. Casey planned the perfect trip for us which also included not only safari drives, but bush walks, a night game drive, rural village visit and Olduvai Gorge all of which I highly recommend you included on your trip. We had to make some last-minute changes to our trip and Casey was very attentive and understanding. All the accommodations were excellent, clean, good food and very friendly staff. I truly can’t imagine what could have been nicer than where we stayed at each location, and I don’t think we were at the top tier places, but it felt like it and I’m picky.
Now the BEST part of the trip, our guide Danny. A2T only uses their employed guides. They do not subcontract out and the ones we spoke to have all worked for A2T for 9+ years. This makes a huge difference in your safari. We spoke to some other groups at our lodges who had booked with different companies, and they were not as happy with their guides as we were. If you think about the fact that you could be spending a week or longer with the same person you want them to be the best. Not only a personality that you like and can get along with, but that get you to see the animals in a safe and up-close way. Danny did an exceptional job of this. Danny immediately became part of our family, and it was wonderful to hear about his life and the customs and traditions. We laughed so much with him and even have some “Dannyism’s” (sayings) as we are now referring to them as. Danny took care of everything for us, and we had hakuna matata (no worries). What started out as a once in a lifetime trip has made all of us want to go back again. The people of Tanzania are so kind and have such a great sense of humor. What I didn’t expect was to enjoy the people just as much if not slightly more than the animals. This I do believe was due to Danny and his relationships with the people at the lodges we stayed out. He just brought out the best in everyone. Danny is forever a part of our family.
