点评：The Baptistry is located directly opposite the front entrance to the Basilica. It is octagonal in shape, which is said to be a symbol of rebirth. In the middle of the room and surrounded by five large half columns, is a very large hexagonal baptismal font that was largely restored in the 19th century. The baptismal font was used for immersive baptisms.
On both the north and south sides of the baptistery were two rectangular mosaic rooms probably used for preparing people for baptism. The one on the south side, the Sudhalle, was open and also had a mosaic floor.
We purchased a 48 hour FVG card Aquileia for EUR 18 each from the Tourist Information office which gave access to the Basilica complex plus three other major sites.
