Medieval Torture Museum的点评
点评:The Medieval Torture Museum is a surprisingly complete & entertaining museum of how mostly European torturing was done in olden times. Located mostly on one floor in Chicago's theater district, the Museum relies on heavily decorated mannequins, informative signs, reproduction models, and gloomy lighting to show how the acquired (and occasional innocent) were forced to confess to their sins & crimes.
The Museum is large enough to cover all the major categories of how prisoners were mistreated throughout the world (with an emphasis on Medieval Europe) yet small enough to be covered in ~1 hour. Given how widespread some of these practices were in multiple geographic location, it makes you glad almost all of them have been banned.
