Their visa department was unaware that the statement needed to be provided in U.S. dollars for submission to the embassy. Opening a USD account at the bank would have caused further delays, as we needed to wait six months to obtain the required statement.
We started this process around November 15, 2024. Due to delays in receiving accurate information from Peaceland Travel’s visa team and after multiple follow-ups, we finally received a response in mid-February 2025, informing us that the visa had been rejected.
The agency charged us a total amount, including the non-refundable visa fees and a deposit of approximately AED 3,500. They initially assured us that the deposit would be refunded in case of visa rejection or, if the visa was approved, after five years.
Since the visa was rejected, I have been following up with them for my refund since February 2025. While I understand that refunds take time, it is now the end of March 2025, and the refund has still not been processed.
Upon contacting the ICP Smart Services customer service, I was informed that the refund had already been processed and sent to Peaceland Travel. The agency simply needed to collect it from the Commercial Bank of Dubai, either through their account or via a cheque.
However, I am deeply frustrated as this agency continues to delay my refund without any valid reason.
Whenever I contact their team, Mr. Ali tells me that the accounts team is responsible for processing the refund. But when I reach out to the accounts team, Mr. Wahab states that the visa team handles all visa-related payments. They are simply passing responsibility back and forth without providing a clear solution.
I am writing this review out of complete frustration. As someone who has worked in the travel industry for over six years, I understand that trust is a crucial factor. Customers rely on travel agencies to process their bookings and expect services in return for the money they pay. However, with Peaceland Travel and Tourism, it is the complete opposite. They fail to respond to messages and have not provided any updates on when I will receive my deposit refund.
I urge all potential customers to read this review carefully before trusting Peaceland Travel and Tourism with your hard-earned money.
