Thoroughly dissapointing
Charlestown, Cornwall的点评
点评：Arrived to find the 'historic' port closed due to what would seem long term works repairing the bridge and gates. Crane, concrete blocks, dry dock, fluorescent barriers, and noise. Hardly the picturesque and historic port we expected; the yellow traffic cone now visible in the mud didn't help, oh, and no ships....
The whole trip was pointless, saved only by a few vaguely interesting shops. The Merchants of Charlestown, Shipwreck And Heritage Centre, looming over the port is closed; permanently it would seem.
What's worse, if that were possible, is that the dock area is a health and safety related accident waiting to happen, and horribly overgrown with undergrowth to the walls and ledges, and home for litter.
Overall, disappointing and the worst type of tourist rip off going. Come on Cornwall, get a grip.
We won't be back.
