Excellent food. Room for improvement with front of house and service.

点评：My family, including my 1 year old granddaughter (7 in total including the baby) enjoyed a really excellent meal in the restaurant this evening and really could not fault the food in any way. The wines were also delicious.
There were however, some aspects of our experience that could have been better;
We enjoyed some pre-dinner drinks in the sunshine prior to going to the restaurant. These took a very long time to arrive and a staff member appeared with a card machine, before the drinks had arrived, asking if we would pay for them now. We stated that we weren’t happy to do that and that we wanted the drinks added to the dinner bill. This is a system that needs to be changed for people who are eating in the restaurant.
Secondly, considering the outdoor surroundings and the entrance into the park, we all thought that the restaurant could be a little less like a canteen, a little more intimate perhaps. Some candles and fresh flowers on the table would be a nice touch and better quality chairs, rather than ones that look as though they have been hired for a wedding.
The grapevine mural looks very amateurish whereas the hare/rabbit on the stairs is fantastic.
