Nothing to see in winter, don't even turn a wheel to get there.

I don’t like to bad-mouth the efforts of dedicated staff nor anyone else involved in such attractions, and I don’t like 1-star reviews, but Bridgewater has had enough time to get its act together and it hasn’t. Even the streamside “flagship” if you like is progressing at a snail’s pace. I still can’t figure out what the garden’s ethos is; maybe just the budget’s exhausted.
There’s no winter seasonal interest, not even early spring bulbs nor winter-flowering shrubs, just bare soil, excepting a few hyacinths. Unbelievably, I was in just over half an hour, as opposed to Harlow Carr last weekend which took nearly two hours. Anyone who’s actually paid to go into Bridgewater should ask for a refund.
