点评:On our last cruise we used the Consortia Airport Shuttle to get from the Leonardo da Vinci Airport to the Civitavecchia cruise terminal which took about forty-five minutes to an hour. We would normally have taken the Princess cruise shuttle - which is not a free shuttle - except we were coming in on a flight after the last shuttle had supposedly already run. Our flight arrived at 2:30 pm and the cruise ship departed at 5:30 pm. The last shuttle was supposed to run at 1:30 pm, although it was still at the airport when we arrived, waiting for another late flight. I’m not sure why they waited for them after telling us they could not wait, but since we had already scheduled and paid for the Consortia Shuttle, we started searching for them. We expected someone from Consortia to be at the terminal exit with a sign with our name on it as is their usual procedure, but no one was there. Luckily, Consortia has a desk at the terminal exit, and when we walked over we found our driver waiting there listening to the Roma soccer match on the radio. Turned out his son is a goalkeeper for Roma. (I’m not sure he actually plays for the main team or if he just plays in the organization somewhere). We made it to the cruise terminal in plenty of time - even beat the Princess shuttle - and got to listen to part of the match on the way.
