Go for the skywalk, not for the zoo.

点评：The skywalk is part of the Sequoia zoo - a single ticket gives admission to both. The zoo is like most zoos - depressing and upsetting, seeing the few animals they have pacing up and down in small enclosures, with birds in areas too small to fly.
But the Skywalk is definitely something they should expand. More skywalk, less zoo. It’s self-guided and starts up a gentle ramp until you end up on platforms about 35m / 90ft up in the air, built around redwood trees. The platforms are connected either by small suspension-bridge walkways, or more flexible ropeway-type walkways. The views are good although the network of walkways is a little short.
The most obvious comparison is to the Trees of Mystery which is about 40 minutes north of Eureka by car. Trees of Mystery definitely has longer, higher, more expansive walkways, but it’s also nearly twice the price and is always very crowded. Redwood Skywalk is much less crowded for a similar, but shorter walk. If you can tolerate the zoo, then it’s worth the visit for the Skywalk.
