点评：Cobwebs Tour was a great "behind the scenes" tour appreciating the servants and staff role over the centuries. Understanding how they kept hidden until called and more about their duties. The "Waterloo" wallpaper in the Steward's room is amazing as the V&A only have a small piece of this rare wallpaper, yet here is a room papered with it. Find out more about Mr Jay and why he has a bell for the servants to respond to, even though he was not a member of the family. The view from the roof is great.
Lots of steep, well worn steps and spiral staircases to negotiate - but they take it at a slow pace. Pamela was a great guide with loads of knowledge and wonderful extra stories (e.g. when she was a teacher she regularly took her Primary School class on a short walk there to do their homework) .
Can do the tour alone or with the "Cobwebs and Cream Tea" package (or can upgrade to Afternoon Tea - which is great - see photo) - a great gift idea if you live in East Yorkshire
