Royal Bled Golf Course的点评
点评：I hesitate to write this review, as it may let out a wonderful secret, making it more difficult to book my next visit! ;) I golfed here across 3 days in April with three friends. The experience from beginning to end was high quality and Royal Bled is highly recommended as a golfing destination. I have been fortunate to golf across 5 decades across the Europe, and a ton in Central Europe, and without hesitation this is the finest facility in the region. I’ll explain.
The Staff - first and foremost, a tip of the hat to Anze and Uroš for helping us with our plans and the best package for our needs. I exchanged multiple emails with these fine gentleman and received excellent advise and pointers for our 3-day, 2 night stay. Across our entire visit, the staff were warm, inviting, and helpful. This goes from the cart crew, restaurant staff, bartender, and the groundskeeping staff. Thank you all.
The Courses - there are 2 course, 18-hole King’s Course, and 9-hole Lake Course. The King’s course has fairly wide landing areas in the fairways, with sand protecting most greens, that don’t have many flat spots! A challenge for sure. Hills, bends, challenging greens, some water - everything you want in a course. While it was April, you could see and feel the quality of the King’s Course. I think hole #6 was my favorite - a shorter Par 4 with a risk/reward lake about 200 from the tee. And with an elevated green waiting on your approach shot, we had a lot of fun (and pain) completing this gem. Unfortunately, we only got to play the Lake Course one afternoon. What a nice course, with multiple blind shots, a bit narrower landing areas, more timber lining the fairways, and thankfully - a bit flatter greens. Really enjoyed the Lake Course and I would begin there next time as I now know how to attack #9 (blind tee shot, dogleg right, with water in front of green).
The Golf facilities - the moment we entered the club house, I knew we made the right choice. A top-shelf shop with everything you need, plus a locker room that included lockers, showers, sitting area, etc. This area was straight out of a professional private club.
Lodging and dining - we rented 3 rooms, which were all in the King’s House. The rooms were very comfortable and outfitted with an excellent eye to detail. From the wonderful bathrooms, nice balconies, views of the course and mountains, large closets, excellent soaps/lotions - we were all well rested and in agreement on the high value. Our complements to the interior design lead and team. One evening we were treated to a 5-course meal, which we found delicious (risotto, beef, seafood, bread/oils, etc.). Delicious and appreciated. We also enjoyed morning breakfast and evening cocktails - again with a staff that was welcoming. The inside sitting area in the restaurant area were wonderfully outfitted with comfortable furniture and touches.
While the weather was cool - snow across the course our final morning - we had a great time and are already planning our return visit. Royal Bled is a gem if you’re after a quality facility surrounded on 3-sides by beautiful mountains. Lake Bled is about a 10-minute drive from the course.
