点评：A friend and I had a very enjoyable visit to the Observatory. I had not expectations prior to arriving and was pleasantly surprised at the grounds and exhibits.
Cost for seniors was 400 pesos. There is a short, video about Mazatlan's history once you enter and it is worth the 10 minutes or so to watch. The Funicular is a different way to reach the top.
The groups through the trees to see the iguanas, birds and turtles is really quite nice. There are interactive displays as well as rooms where you can sit in bean bag chairs to see videos. The little cafe is a nice place to stop and have a coffee/sandwich/treat.
It may be missed if you don't look for it, but be sure to walk by the restaurant to see the lovely cactus gardens. We didn't go into the restaurant but I imagine it would be quite lovely to sit and watch the sunset from it's terraces.
I recommend as somewhere great for the whole family to visit. Also recommend going shortly after it opens at 10 a.m. to avoid crowds. We spent several hours here and noticed by noon the funicular was quite full on the way up.
