Dion Archaeological Park的点评
点评：Very interesting site in a beautiful location at the foot of Mount Olympus.
We wanted to have a look at the ancient Macedonian site before we move on to the Roman city, since this is what we had done on our previous visit, but a woman checking tickets told us to do otherwise. We didn't appreciate being told what to do provided that we paid for our own tickets and this is an open park.
We then attempted to start our visit from the temple of Isis, who was Alexander the Great's favourite goddess, but we were stopped half-way on the path to it because they were cutting down trees. There was no warning or sign at the ticket office that there was no access to the temple of Isis on the day. We, of course, did not manage to visit this, even though it was included in our ticket price.
Finally, as seems to be the case with all Greek archaeological sites there are large dogs roaming around free and mixing in with visitors, which was inappropriate and not very respectful of either visitors or the site itself.
