Unpleasant experience and poor signage

点评：I went to the gardens today having seen the gardens feature on Gardeners World. I assumed this was an open garden for all and that being on Gardeners World meant they wanted to make gardens available to all too. Unfortunately despite there being no signage, I arrived to be told in no uncertain terms, after I had arrived parked up and entered the gardens, by a very rude lady, that dogs were not allowed. I had travelled with my little dog who was on a lead. I also checked the website, but could see nothing about ‘no dogs’ being allowed until I read down to the section on accessibility ( rather than it being right at the top). I wouldn’t normally be reading that section as I don’t have accessibility needs. I would have respected the rule of course, had I known about it and saved myself a drive, but saw not one sign saying ‘no dogs’. I’m disappointed by how I was spoken too. I was made to feel like I had committed some kind of an offence as I walked through the gate to the visitor centre and a woman swooped out from the inside….
This is why gardens are not accessible to all and it’s poor reflection on this charity.
We will stick with the many beautiful gardens which do thankfully allow dogs and are not so snobby and elitist!

这就是为什么花园并非人人皆可进入的原因，这也反映出这家慈善机构的糟糕表现。
我们会继续选择那些美丽的花园，谢天谢地，它们允许带狗，而且不会那么势利和精英化！
