Delays disappointed diners at lunch

点评：My group and I went for lunch to The Lodge at Metis Crossing on Thursday November 21st, consisting of recreational assistants and 6 residents from a senior's facility. Our coordinator had made reservations for 10 to attend, and we were scheduled to arrive at 11:30 a.m. .
We arrived on time, and were seated in the lounge by 11:30. The service staff provided us with coffee and menus, then took our orders within 15 minutes. We sent in the lounge, waiting for our orders and watching the snowfall outside - until after 1:00 p.m.! When some of the residents began to complain about the meal taking so long to serve, the duty manager of the hotel, who was eating at an adjoining table, made suggestions about making reservations for the next time, but did not explain what the delay was caused by this time! Nor was our group offered any sort of complimentary beverages, discount on our meals or even assistance with holding the door for our patrons as they accident the building after the meal!
A previous group from another area facility had experienced the same issues when they attended a couple of weeks earlier - so apparently this is not a one-off experience! 😠
The food, when it came, was good and enjoyed in the short time that we had left before our return was scheduled. The wait staff were considerate, and surroundings and scenery we're very restful and calming. For the issues that were experienced this state, I would have to lay responsibility with the front office management! When you make a reservation, you should expect better!
