点评:I’m conflicted after visiting this place. On face value it seems positive - rescuing turtles and keeping them in the ‘hospital’. Also, hatching eggs and releasing the baby turtles into the wild. They also claim the rate of survival of the babies is greater because they release them in the evening rather than morning.
However, the tanks are spartan and there seems to be no plans for the long term residents missing flippers who can’t be released into the wild ever, other than keeping them there. Given turtles live for 80+ years, this seems harsh although I’m not sure if there’s an alternative?
The talk on the types of turtles was interesting, but the tanks just remind me of old fashioned concrete zoos. However, we all left donations, so therefore are trusting it was about turtle conservation rather than a tourist money maker.
