Hop Cabin - not worth the money

点评：I’m really sad to say we were disappointed with our stay at Hop Cabin.
When booking and liaising with Ed and Tori I advised it was a surprise birthday present for my partners 30th and asked if there was anything they could do to make it special. I didn’t get a response and there was nothing when we arrived (I was thinking a complimentary bottle from the brewery or a balloon, aka something small).
The cabin itself was very run down..
- the front doors did not close properly allowing a constant cold breeze into the cabin
- a leak in the main room above the fireplace and in the bathroom (not helped by rain our whole stay)
- slugs appeared in the cabin when it was dark and were on the floor, kitchen surface and walls
- the duvet wasn’t a double (as the bed is) and so was not sufficient for 2 people
- there was no hot water for our first night
I understood that only enough wood/kindling is provided for 1 night, however we had unseasonably bad weather (constant heavy rain for 2 days) and so I think it would have been understandable to have enough for the 2 nights, especially given that the doors did not close properly allowing the cold air in.
The only positive I have (hence the 1 star) is the natural hot tub. It was a great experience and we loved it. There are instructions on how to use it, which stated about using a hose if the water got too hot. We did find a hose but it was in constant use in another one of the cabins and so we had to repeatedly run in and out of the cabin with bottles of cold water to try and bring down the temperature (this didn’t work, and we couldn’t use it on the second night).

我明白只提供足够一晚使用的木材/引火物，但我们遇到了异常恶劣的天气（连续两天大雨），所以我认为提供足够两晚使用的木材/引火物也是可以理解的，尤其是考虑到门关不严，冷风进来了。
我唯一满意的（因此给一星）是天然热水浴缸。这是一次很棒的体验，我们很喜欢。有使用说明，上面说如果水太热，可以使用软管。我们确实找到了一根水管，但是另一间小屋里一直在使用，所以我们不得不拿着一瓶瓶冷水反复跑进跑出小屋，试图降低温度（这没有用，第二天晚上我们没能使用它）。
