Best beach - Padang Padang
巴东海滩的点评
点评：We arrived early afternoon and it was a steep set of steps down but totally worth it. Was very busy on the main part of the beach but we were looking for some shade so headed to the back right and up some wooden steps to a tiny bar with a magnificent view over the beach and a great view of the surfers out at sea. We asked if we could leave our bags there while we went for a quick swim in the sea as we were worried about the monkeys - which was okay with the bar owners. The sea is a beautiful shade of blue and very warm. Be aware - there are some rocks under the water that you cannot see so be careful where you tread. Absolutely beautiful in the water and it was clean too. After a quick swim we headed back up to the bar and had a very refreshing Bintang Lemon and sat back to enjoy the view. So many pretty people posing for their selfies - which we find amusing as a couple in their early 60s!
We then walked over to the far side of the beach which was in shade by the cliffs. There were some food stalls being set up - corn on the cob on a stick and another one with Quesadillas and Tortilla and Nasi Goreng and even a small bar for alcohol. The food was delicious and well worth the wait. The best beach we've seen so far in Bali, well worth a visit but expect lots of people.
