点评：Brilliant! We could run out of superlatives for this place.
Firstly, the property and grounds have been lovingly restored—an immediate wow factor before you even step into the museum. The layout, collection, and attention to detail are second to none. As frequent visitors to Belgium, especially the Flanders region, this museum surpasses others we’ve visited. The exhibition is well-curated, and the flow of the tour is spot on. Throughout the museum, numbered audio boxes guide you with detailed narratives as you wander through the building, into the restored bunker beneath the house, and seamlessly into the trench area.
The staff were outstanding—nothing was too much trouble. They took the time to help trace a family member etched on the Menin Gate, providing us with personal details, including their last known place, time, and date of death.
We spent a wonderful morning here with the family. Well done to everyone involved—5 stars!
