Rancho Las Palmas Country Club的点评
点评：We have rented many different units in RLP Country Club over the past 15 years. The units vary in terms of how nice they are and definitely better and worse locations. The units do tend to be smaller than in other communities (e.g., a typical 3BR in RLP is about 25% less square feet than in many neighboring country clubs). In some cases, the prices in RLP reflect the smaller square footage, though other owners seem to price based on number of bedrooms alone, so it can be pricey in a relative sense. We felt the landscaping went downhill a few years ago, but they have brought it back up over the past 2-3 years. The "cost" for that is there is lots of noise from the workers doing something on many days. It's a little past lunchtime and we are into hour five of loud leaf blowers etc. today. Same thing yesterday. No nice mroning coffee or lunch on the patio. The golf course is fine, though overpriced vs some others in the area. Tennis facility is very strong. There really is not much at all to the club house and the fitness room is very tiny. Pools are prevalent, every other one is heated. There are a good number of chaise loungers and 2 table with chairs and umbrellas at every pool. Overall, we have found the community to be friendly.
In terms of location, close to the entrances is convenient, though the back entrance to Monterey requires a transponder to enter (anyone can exit), which comes at an extra cost and minimum 2-month rental is required to be eligible. The El Toro wash floods easily which requires them to open an entrance off of Clancy that is typically blocked to get to units on the other side of the wash from the main road (Avenida Las Palmas). There is a guard standing at the entrance when it needs to be opened, but generally pretty inconvenient.
