Stunning castle, interesting family home and delightful gardens

点评：We booked our tickets online and upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the staff.
The castle is stunning both inside and outside with so much to see. All the exhibits internally are very well displayed and what makes it even more interesting and relevant, is that it remains a family home. We found all the photographs of the family, the Dukes of Argyll and the Clan Campbell, over the years, particularly fascinating.
The gardens and grounds are also wonderful. A walk around the more formal areas as well as the wilder woodland areas was most relaxing.
The only disappointment was the café, which appeared disorganised resulting in longer than necessary queues for over-priced food and drinks of only average quality.
More could be done to improve this aspect of what was otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable experience.
