Kentwell Hall的点评
点评：We arrived at Kentwell at 11am, opening time and loved it so much we didn't leave until 4pm, closing time.
We found the atmosphere very welcoming and easy - we were free to wander around house, gardens and farm at will. On the farm there were numerous sheep with new born lambs, pigs, loveable piglets which ran all around the farm, and peahens and peacocks. Also, authentically re-assembled Tudor buildings - the Tudor worker's house looked remarkably realistic and uncomfortable!
Gardens and avenues of trees are well laid out - the Pied Piper of Hamlin topiary hedge is impressive in its size and detail. The gardener was a pleasure to chat with.
An attractive moat around the house teems with fish, large and small.
Two of the three wings of the house are open to visitors. They contain recreations of the Tudor kitchens and many varied items of interest collected by the owner who we are told pays a lot of attention to all the property. The rooms have large, detailed and interesting written descriptions of their contents, authored, it seems, by the owner.
All in all, Kentwell is a delightful, charming, informative and interesting day out.
