Hughenden Manor的点评
点评：History from two different eras: Victorian England (as a home of Benjamin Disraeli) and WW II England (as a setting for one of the covert RAF sections). History that's almost palpable and enhanced by the talks given on both topics. Left the property with the sense that we learned something genuinely new (to us). The volunteers making the presentations/talks were knowledgeable and answered in depth the questions asked by the audience members.
The second hand book shop was nicely curated. The NT café was efficiently run and the signature NT scones were tasty.
The property paths are steep but we found them well maintained and marked. There is a shuttle from the parking lot to the other areas of the property. The walled garden (between the ticket hut and the stable areas) had lovely plants to admire even in early spring.
