点评:We went here after visiting the Cathedral. It is a bus ride from there, along Cheetham Hill Road. We eventually found the place. The staff were very welcoming. In the museum part, Karen told us about the history of the Jewish community in Manchester. There were plenty of exhibits, the most fascinating were recorded commentaries from people who had travelled from Eastern Europe and settled in Manchester.
After a party of schoolchildren had left, and we had drunk a lovely cup of tea, Karen introduced us to Martin, who took us into the synagogue itself. He showed us the stained glass windows and told us what they meant, as well as other artifacts. Both guides were friendly and knowledgeable and made our visit more enjoyable. This is a fascinating place to visit. A must see when in Manchester and reasonably priced.
