A great afternoon out!

点评：We spent a lovely couple of hours visiting Birdland with our three grandchildren (11, 9 & 6). We had booked in advance for our granddaughter to feed the penguins as a birthday treat and it did not disappoint. She was very excited and had a great time with Beth the keeper and the wonderfully entertaining penguins. A big shout out to Chris too who spent lots of time with us in the reptile house even though we had missed the scheduled talk that day. He was great with the kids and let them hold the leopard gecko which was a real highlight as was Diamond the parrot who we met later. We ate at the Nest cafe and the food was lovely as were the staff who were full of smiles and very helpful. Some of the park looks a bit tired and in need of a refresh and signage could be improved - we spent ages trying to find things even though it’s not that big a place. However the staff and the beautiful birds make up for any shortfalls.
