点评:Having been to the English version many times, I decided to visit this one while I was in Edinburgh as you always learn something new, especially when the tour guide is an ex-miner. The exhibition has lots of information, on the history of coal, its industrial uses and the engineers who utilised it, but also the social aspects - the mining life, the accidents, strikes and ultimately the demise. The tour guide, Sinclair, was brilliant. very knowledgable and very funny. You don't go underground (optional at Caphouse) but they have recreated it pretty effectively on the surface, which is a lot better for many who don't fancy the ride in the cage.
There's a nice café too - do go if you get the chance. The memory of this industry, which powered the nation for decades, deserves to be kept alive.

这里还有一家不错的咖啡馆——如果有机会,一定要去。这个为国家提供数十年动力的行业的记忆值得被保留下来。
