Beamish Museum的点评
点评：What an amazing place.
My daughter and I came to Durham for a few days and discovered Beamish, we paid online in advance and when we arrived we were really impressed with how easy it was to get in, get the annual pass pictures sorted and then off we went to explore.
The trams were not running on our visit due to some maintenance and upgrades but there was plenty of choices for the vintage buses.
It is an incredible experience seeing things from the past. I have to admit I did favour the 1820’s area and enjoyed a drink in the tavern.
The whole site takes hours to walk around and enjoy, in all honesty, one day is not enough, my daughter and I ended up going back the next day to finish off seeing as much as we could and then still had not seen every section.
It’s a brilliant way to experience history, it’s even better knowing we are helping preserve some of our heritage and history and ensuring the work of our elders and their struggles are not forgotten.
Definitely well worth a visit!
