Disappointing cream tea experience

点评：If you want to ride this train for nostalgia, or are going as a four, this might be better, however the cream tea experience wasn’t great.
We went as a couple and were seated with two other people (who were nice people), and it does state on the website this may be the case, however, the seats are not wide, so you feel like you’re on top of them. If you’re not the first of the 4 seats you will end up with an aisle seat as we did, so can’t really see much of the views (which, to be honest, you get on an SWR train anyway).
The actual carriage was uninteresting, with no information or decoration. Other than it being old there wasn’t much to look at.
The scones were cold, the table cloth had tea stains, it was too warm.
I appreciate this is run by volunteers who were friendly, but for nearly £70 for a cream tea it’s not worth it. Unfortunately a disappointing experience.
