Journeys created a really incredible Oaxacan experience for me

点评：I took a solo trip to Oaxaca in March 2025 and had the pleasure of doing a walking tour of the city with Mahsa. Mahsa is really lovely - kind, super knowledgable of the city, flexible with schedules and needs - and so my half-day walking tour with her was the highlight of my whole week in Oaxaca.
With Mahsa, I got to see so many things in the city that I wouldn't have been able to discover myself. She took me to the local markets (and introduced me to the best foods there), took me to some really incredible art spots (galleries, print shops, libraries, etc.) which helped me understand Oaxaca's art culture, and shared so many nuggets of knowledge throughout our time together which amplified my appreciation for the city.
My best recommendation would be to book a walking tour with Journeys/Mahsa day 1 or 2 of your trip so that you can find what you like early on and go back later in your trip to spend longer expanses of time at your favorite spots.
After my walking tour, I learned that Mahsa/Journeys has a network of really reliable drivers/guides who can take you to Monte Albán, local villages, and pretty much anywhere else you want to go. I had an incredible experience with Hector who took me to Monte Albán for a day and showed me around the local village specializing in pottery.
Shoutout to Mahsa, Hector, and Journeys for making my trip to Oaxaca a great one.
