Mackintosh isn't in the museum, but in the Hunterian Art Gallery

点评：I write this review mainly to help Mackintosh lovers understand where the Mackintosh stuff is. Also, know that you can't take backpacks in - we had to put ours in a free locker and couldn't take it around the museum for both the Hunterian Museum and the Hunterian Art Gallery. We had very limited time in Glasgow and my main goal was seeing everything Mackintosh that I could. I heard the Hunterian had Mackintosh stuff. What I didn't realize is that there are multiple parts of the "Hunterian." The Hunterian Museum is inside the University of Glasgow and is like a small natural history type museum. We didn't know that until we got there and looked all around for Mackintosh. Turns out the Mackintosh House (which is definitely worth the visit) is a part of the Hunterian Art Gallery (not to be confused with the Hunterian Museum) across the street and up the hill from the Hunterian Museum. So, we weren't really here for the items in the museum or the art gallery, we were only here for the Mackintosh House, so I cannot rate the quality of the exhibits or art in either. Just putting information out there for those that are after Mackintosh so they know the Hunterian Museum is inside the University and has no Mackintosh - go across the street to the Hunterian Art Gallery. Mackintosh House is an additional admission fee. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful since we were so confused on finding Mackintosh and they helped us find what we needed.
