RSPB Weymouth Wetlands at Radipole Lake Nature Reserve的点评
点评：I was a regular visitor to Radipol and Lodmoor when I lived in Weymouth up until 8 years ago. This is the first time I have been back since. The reedbeds have been allowed to grow substantially which has made what was already a difficult nature reserve even worse for humans to actually see anything. Most of the viewing walkways around the path loops have been abandoned and overgrown. While I understand that the lake is silting up and the reeds are important for various species, the human experience has been greatly diminished. This is not a reserve i shall return to in a hurry. The RSPB needs humans to be passionate about the preservation of our birdlife and habitats but this can best be achieved if people can actually see the birds at the reserves and not simply have to believe someones word for it or merely hear the odd sound. Manage this valuable wetland for the benefit of both wildlife and humans.
