Moseley Old Hall的点评
点评：Visited the hall recently as our next NT property on the list.
Word of warning - take care on the fairly narrow road from the main A460. It is full of blind bends and we encountered an idiot in a white SUV doing well over the speed limit coming the other way. It’s also littered with fly tipping which is a great shame but unfortunately part of daily life.
From the reception staff we met the usual knowledgable and friendly staff all willing to tell us about the hall. The history here is great, with stories of Charles II hiding here to avoid losing his head !. It is really amazing to think of the years the house has stood and the walls and floors are testament to this. The small chapel, a refuge for the frowned upon catholics of the time is very engaging.
As usual for NT, the tea room is well equipped and comfortable and toilet facilities clean and tidy. The gardens are nicely maintained and we will maybe visit again on a drier day to explore these.
