Lovely bit of countryside….
Shugborough的点评
点评：Last time I visited Shugborough I was at junior school, and the wife had never been. We made it the next on our NT list and paid a visit on a dry but cool day.
The one thing that strikes me since joining the trust is the friendliness and knowledge of most of the staff, usually volunteers. The guy at the gatehouse reception was excellent, explaining all about the layout and guiding us through the map. The farm is ok but not much to see. We walked the mainly flat 1100m to the house and had a look inside. It is interesting but I’m guessing that Lord Lichfields apartments are what people want to see and on our day that we’re closed. No bother, we’ll come back.
The kitchens are really interesting. We visited the tea room for a quick lunch before mooching round the shop and bookshop.
Must come back.
