Great house, lovely gardens.
Brodsworth Hall and Gardens的点评
点评：Really interesting Victorian house to look round, and stunning gardens. The rooms in the house have been kept in the same condition as when English Heritage was gifted the house, which makes it more interesting. The servants’ quarters and kitchens are particularly good. The gardens were a delight to walk round (although it helped that it was a glorious, sunny day and all the spring flowers were out.)
Plenty of benches in the grounds and some picnic tables. Will definitely go again.
Cafe looked interesting, but we had brought our own picnic.
(Only thing to let the house down was the absence of information sheets. There were guides in most rooms, but if they were in conversation with other visitors, it wasn’t easy to find out what was what. You can buy a guide book at the entrance, but I prefer fact sheets in each room.)
