点评:This is a beautiful park on the edge of Bath. No general parking but the no 2 bus goes there from outside Bath Bus Station every 12 minutes and only takes a 5 minutes or so (but make sure you get off at the stop opposite the park entrance and not too soon, unless you want a steep hill to walk up).
The entrance is at the top, and you basically walk around the park via the lake and Palladian bridge, where there is also a refreshment cabin nearby. There are toilets at both ends of the park.
I would suggest this attraction is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as there are some very steep sections, some of which could do with proper paving since the loose rubble is treacherous. At one section there are quite a few steps to negotiate.
The bridge is fascinating (though it needs a little TLC), the cascade below it is very scenic, and the views are memorable. Unfortunately, as with all National Trust properties these days, the entrance fee (currently £11 before gift aid) is high for a 1-2 hour experience (presumably to encourage you to take out NT membership) and the refreshments are vastly over-priced - but I looked on it as my opportunity to donate to their work.
it was also rather frustrating to find a number of side pathways closed off during our visit, for all sorts of reasons, and for the relevant barrier to often be part-way along the path - e.g. there is a sign pointing to the ice house, but when you are almost there you find you can go no further. This needs sorting.
But overall a must-see if you are in Bath.
