点评:I’ve wanted to visit here for so long! We went as we headed home from Cornwall and couldn’t have picked a better time.
The weather was beautiful and set off the gardens a treat. The walk down to the viewpoint and then on to look over where the tidal pool was has to be one of most evocative views, it is hard not to picture an Agatha Christie book as you gaze on the rugged coast and find yourself looking for a scuttled boat or a body eeek!
The house is exquisite- I love the era that it is set in anyway and knew I’d like it immensley. It has a lived in feel,is wonderfully dressed and so much to look at. All staff and volunteers from on the house to the cafe were lovely - the lady on reception was so friendly and welcomed us warmly and gave our two Labradors a biscuit. Top day out, the National Trust at its very best. Don’t miss the book barn as it’s a little tucked away,as usual we found some great books and a brilliant jigsaw! Lots of happy memories made.
