A very luxurious theatre experience

点评：The building looks quite modern from the outside but is actually Victorian with modern extensions so I wasn’t really sure what to expect inside. When you enter, it’s into the modern part with seating areas, bars and cafes and a big spiral staircase. It looks brand new and is really plush with quality carpets and furniture.
Then when you enter the theatre itself, it’s back to the Victorian style but all nicely decorated and comfortable. London theatres are unbelievably shabby in comparison to this! The boxes with the dome shaped roof and the carved wooden elephant heads make it look like the set of Moulin Rouge!
My seat was up in the Gods but it was still really comfortable up there and despite saying restricted view on my ticket, it wasn’t restricted at all and the view of the stage and into the pit was actually amazing! I had a much better view than I did sitting near the front in other theatres.
Sound quality was excellent too. Staff are warm and friendly from the box office staff to the ushers. I really enjoyed my visit to this theatre.
