The rapid decline of Sledmere Cafe

点评：We have been regular visitors to Sledmere for several years and have been "friends of Sledmere House" for three years now. Once visiting on average twice a month throughout the entire year. The tranquility and experience of walking the grounds, visiting the animals and strolling around the walled garden is a real tonic. So this review is only about the cafe, and not the lovely house and gardens and shop which i would recommend to anyone.
We had enjoyed eating in the Coach House Cafe on every occasion we have visited which is many times. Two courses with drinks so over £50.00. But sadly the cafe has declined horribly. Many of the staff appear to have changed, and it feels like it is being managed differently. It really pains me to say this as we love going there. The quality of the meat and vegatables, the menu choice and the desserts, well the whole range is now so poor. So we now eat in the pub when we visit.
Whilst we will still intend to visit the house and grounds regularly, we will now eat in the Triton, where the quantity and quality is vastly superior for the same price.
