点评：Our tour group (Wheel and Anchor) spent several days with Dario as our guide - from leading us through a walk familiarizing us with Puerto de la Cruz, to a tour of a museum and then pottery making, to a nature drive and walk through the upper forest canopy. However the highlights were the early morning views of the sun through his telescope (along with the hot chocolate and delicious breakfast snacks provided). This experience was surpassed by a winery visit at dusk and the subsequent view of the planets through his night vision telescope.
Dario is a wonderful ambassador for Tenerife. He speaks 6 languages (including Arabic!) and is enthusiastic about sharing his vast knowledge of all aspects of history and life in Tenerife. He is the only guide certified in the specialty of astronomical telescopes .
He always remembered, on the many tours we took with him (and the many meals and refreshments he arranged for us) to proactively arrange for any special dietary requirements of our group members. So we never had any worries.
And his rescue dog is very cute too! (Sorry I didn’t get a picture of her).
