Manic but great few hours
科学与工业博物馆的点评
点评：I visited this museum quite a few times as a child and it was one of my favourites. I’ve also visited a few times since my son was born.
When visiting within school holidays we have been glad to have booked the extra exhibitions including two versions of Operation Ouch and Power Up, which have been brilliant and worth paying for. This is mainly due to how busy the free parts of the museum get especially on the first floor. There are lots of fun experiments to do there, but on the Friday of February half term there were long waits for most of them. I did hear a member of staff saying that it was fully booked.
I have to say that it was the busiest that we had ever seen it. Even compared to other half term days that we have visited.
The construction works didn’t affect our visit and I’m looking forward to see the museum once the works are finished. I do however miss the air and space hall.
We planned to eat in the cafe, but with a long queue, no available tables and the City Centre location we went elsewhere for lunch.
Luckily we still managed to do some of the free activities and spent most of our time at Operation Ouch! Brains, Bogies and You and Power Up, which we really enjoyed. We loved the large eye and a lot of the other fun exhibits in Operation Ouch and the massive selection of games and consoles including a Sega Master System and a PlayStation 5. It was such a fun day.
Hopefully we won’t book such a busy day next time.
