Benmore Botanic Garden的点评
点评：I was with a coach party and due to the weather many just stayed on the bus or went straight to tea room. I was not going to let the rain put me off as it is unlikely I shall ever be able to return and I loved the place despite the inclement weather. I would have loved more time to spend there, damp or not, but my dash round was memorable and I can only recommend a visit.
Yes, accept that this is outdoors and so affected by the weather but do not think you cannot enjoy it all the same. Yes, storm damage has caused some closures and detours but there is still much to see and I still found it very worthwhile.
I am not a botanist so I am only talking as a lay person. It seemed well marked and there were maps all over the place so you can't get lost even if it is quite extensive. Inevitably there will be more colour at different times of the year.
One warning is that some of the paths are definitely steep, either a slope or with steps so a certain level of mobility is needed. Or plenty of time! Even in its current state it is quite extensive if you are to cover it thoroughly so allow enough time or don't try to do too much.
I certainly recommend Benmore for anyone who likes visiting gardens.
