Worth a visit when quiet
霍尼曼博物馆的点评
点评：It’s partially free, you have to pay extra to enter the aquarium (which we didn’t) and the butterfly house (which we did), also the seasonal special events such as the animal robots exhibition which was current at our visit. Well, the free bits were interesting, and lets say, it’s an eclectic collection. It’s not very coherent or really well explained but nevertheless it’s so random and quirky that it deserves a visit. Are the paid for bits worth it? Have to say the butterfly bit was quite interesting, but we have seen better for less, and the animal robots – as expected it was full of kids thoroughly exercising every possible push button, lever and interactive display without really understanding what was being demonstrated. That’s life I guess. You are not allowed to consume food or drink inside the museum for understandable reasons, but there are outside kiosks plus a proper café which quite honestly was a bit of a bear garden (it was mid term break time). Not enough room and too, too cramped. The grounds looked interesting but we didn’t have time to explore, and there is a tremendous vista of the city from the site which is….on top of a hill. Forest Hill. Worth a visit, but go when it’s quiet.
