点评：My husband and I went to Metate on April 22nd, to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We read the great reviews, and wanted to try it. We were not disappointed in the least. it was such a great evening. First of all, you will be shocked at how beautiful the courtyard it. it doesn't look like much from the street, but once you're inside, you'll be blown away. It's a very pretty setting. They also have a saxophone player, which we truly appreciated, after being at a hotel near the beach where techno music is playing all day! Joel was our waiter. He and the rest of the staff could not have taken better care of us. We started with a shot of tequila...and he didn't try to up-sell us on an expensive brand. he recommended the house tequila, and it was quite delicious...served with orange slices lined in a red salt. OMG, I never had that before and it was so complimentary with the tequila. The food is fantastic...so fresh and so innovative. The best way I can describe it is haute Mexican! We started with the bone marrow for an appetizer. That was incredible. My husband had to pork leg in a mole sauce, which he absolutely loved. I had the special...a grilled lobster tail, in a cream sauce. It was outstanding. we were already full, but we were talked into sharing dessert, which we did not regret. We had the corn cake with blue corn ice cream. If you REALLY want to try a dessert that is so different and absolutely delicious, you MUST have that. Overall, the team at Metate made the night so special, and every single thing was perfect! Great job, Metate, and thank you for such a wonderful evening!
